Sizing Guide
At Firefly, we want you to embrace all your curves without judgement. We've noticed that across the plus size clothing industry, sizes vary so much that it makes it hard to know what will fit based on just size numbers. So we at Firefly have decided to let you make the choice about size, depending on your measurements. We have also added a conversion chart below - note that due to each fashion label using different fit models (the basic measurements they use for each size), the conversion is not exact.
Please do use your own measurements and compare them to the Firefly size table to get the most accurate size for your body.
To measure your size take a tape measure (if you make a purchase with us, we will send you a free one to make further purchases easy).
Measure your;
- Bust - this is the area around the widest part of your breast
- Waist - this is usually the smallest area of your torso, where you bend when leaning over
- Hip - this is the widest part of your bum/crotch area with your legs together.
Take those numbers, and check out the size chart below. Pick the size that corresponds with your numbers. For tops the important number is the bust measurement. For skirts the important numbers are the waist and hips measurement. Note: Our Pencil Skirt and Emerald Wrap are made of stretch viscose, which allows for hip sizes larger than measurements stated below.

*plus sizes in New Zealand & Australia vary from brand to brand. For example, a size 16 Wild Child is equivalent to size 20-22 Nicola Waite. For this reason, we recommend measuring yourself rather than relying on a size chart.
